Since its first year, keychain films has been able to maintain high production standards, both content wise and technical wise. Almost 99% of our productions are done on HDV Digital High Definition format shot on top of the line Sony Cameras and edited on nonlinear systems that maintain pristine quality throughout the production flow.
We acquired HD (High Definition) production capability during our very first year. SONY pristine imaging technology combined with of Carl Zeiss lenses and ARRI Lighting along with quality sound captured with German Sennhieser Mics makes a perfect image and sound acquiring combination, whether you want a high quality documentary or television program or a film. Since our editing systems maintain the high resolution of HD throughout the post-production flow Thanks to our investment in industry’s top technical developers like Apple, Adobe, ADS Tech, Canopus, Adaptec, Cambridge Soundworks, Dell, IBM, Toshiba, Seagate, Hitachi, Quantum, Samsung, Philips etc and combined with our native developed proprietary technology and workflow methodology, the possibilities are unlimited. From correcting/adjusting frames acquired in difficult situations to multitude of delivery formats from high quality SD/HD video to even 35mm film.

Libec and Bogen/Manfrotto Tripod/Dolly products of italian expertise provide the grip and smooth movement to the camera in any situation while Glidecam Camera Jib is light and small package to be transported easily if crane shot is required in field.
ARRI Lighting including fresnels and soft boxes is the pinnacle of German technology. These are the only lights in the world, that are designed completely in computers using CAD technology, and achieves ultimate in control and precision. The light stands are manufactured by Manfrotto Italy, which is one of the top brands in grips and support equipment. Combined with the native development of keychain films they make our images talk, impress, convey and convince.
Senhiesser M-66 an extremely unidirectional Boom Mic picks up sound of just anything we want and but only the things we want and our clients require.
Post
Post we feel has always been the home ground for us. Mr. Kashif Kamal himself has been responsible for selecting equipment to designing and operating the post facilities of many of our competitors today. He built from scratch the most advanced post facility at the time based on Matrox Digisuites for Serendip Production in 1999. Later the same was adopted by PTV. In Montage Production house and Sharpcut films foreseeing the change in the industry, he suggested a shift to Apple Macintosh based editing machines.
Apple Mac Editing machines form the basic line of our post right now. In support we use AJA Kona Uncompressed Editing Card, ADDA converter from ADS Tech, Sound monitoring Cambridge Soundworks 5.1 Dolby Digital sound system, High Definition Video Monitoring on Samsung High Definition LCD Panel, SONY HDV VTR, Western Digital and TAURUS RAID High Speed Storage, Cannon Imaging etc.
Interfacing for transferring is 100% digital insuring maximum quality and absolutely no generation losses whatsoever.
Specifically, we have two posts built around quad core and 8 core Mac pro systems and AJA Kona Digital editing Hardware.
Quality of our post production is evident from our productions. Also the highly acclaimed, Eybex Films’ television series for Mobilink titled ‘Mobilink’s Journey through Pakistan’ and documentary titled ‘True Colors’ which aired on nine channels in 2007 and 2008 was post at keychain films. Also during 2009 Haroon’s music video titled ‘Ghoom Ghoom’ which was shot in HD using Canon DSLR cameras was post in full HD at keychain films. Two similar projects with same technical specs shot in Hollywood USA and aimed for international market are in post and will require high end composting combining green screen shots with 3D animations.
